Detailed content At the workshop dedicated to the EU Mission “Green Living Areas,” the Faculty of Mechanical Engineering and Naval Architecture, University of Zagreb (UNIZAG FSB) presented the GARDEN project.

During the event,UNIZAG FSB introduced the mission framework and objectives of the GARDEN project, emphasizing its alignment with the broader goals of the “Green Living Areas” mission, particularly in fostering sustainable urban development through greener food logistics. The workshop served as a platform for knowledge exchange and networking among participants, with a special focus on the Croatian context. Participants explored the innovative solutions being developed within the project and discussed their applicability to local communities.

Key project results were highlighted and examined in relation to the national context of the Republic of Croatia, taking into account legal, economic, social, and environmental dimensions. The importance of integrating these results into national and local policies was particularly stressed.

FSB also promoted six pilot sites being developed under the GARDEN project, showcasing concrete examples of sustainable logistics practices in both urban and semi-urban environments. The progress of each site was presented, illustrating how these pilot actions contribute to the wider European goal of creating greener and healthier living areas.
