Evaluation of pilot sites
The project GARDEN aims at making the demonstration that urban last mile food logistics can be enhanced through technical and organisational solutions reducing its environmental footprint and cost. In order to assess the impact of the solutions set up in the 6 pilot sites of the project, an evaluation working group have been created to conceive a complete evaluation process.
In this section you will find the results of the evaluation before (T0) and after (T1) the investment in low carbon technological solutions and the experimentation of new logistics organisations. The investments include low carbon vehicles (retrofit, acquisition, leasing), solar plants and charging stations. The experimentation includes new logistics organization (transport mutualisation, route optimization, modal shift, incorporation of digital tools).
This work of evaluation has been initiated by a dedicated working group (FAB’LIM, CAP ENERGIE, ESTA) and received the contribution of every partner involved in the project (picture : workshop about the evaluation organised during the 2nd steering committee in Valencia, 20/06/2024)
