Summary (500 words) The Organization for Local Development – Heraklion Single Member S.A. (Α.Ο.Τ.Α. ΗΡΑΚΛΕΙΟ Μ.Α.Ε.) participated in the Greek-Cypriot Territorial Meeting of the Green Living Areas Mission, which took place in Patras (Agora Argyri) on April 29, 2025.
Organized by the Region of Western Greece and the University of Patras, this meeting provided an excellent opportunity for partners to exchange ideas and identify synergies, thus contributing significantly to achieving the goals of the Interreg Euro-MED Programme’s Mission “Green Living Areas”.
LDO HERAKLION S.S.A. , as a partner of the project “Greener AgRo-fooD logistics in the mEditerraneaN area” (GARDEN), was represented by Mr. Manolis Petrakis, member of the Project Team. By presenting the “GARDEN” Interreg EURO-MED project, our organization actively engaged in a dynamic network of Greek and Cypriot partners, working towards sustainable urban transitions and green innovation.
📍 The meeting offered:
🔹 The opportunity to present GARDEN’s pilot action and expected results alongside other projects’ pilot initiatives in Greece and Cyprus
🔹 Information on support opportunities provided by the Green Living Areas Mission, including training, outreach and networking
🔹 Opportunities for collaboration and sharing of best practices
🔹 Networking and exploration of synergies to enhance the dissemination and impact of project results
🔹 Strategic discussions on integrating outcomes into policies and long-term impactful actions
